Test 9 Section 5 - #14 (page 906)

Jeez, this is a mean one, huh? This is a VERY rare one where you can't really solve for the expression. I always say that solving for the expression on the SAT is the RULE, not the exception. Well, a question like this is the exception to that rule. :(

Set out the equation:

-60 = 2(t3 - 3)

and solve:

-30 = t3 - 3
-27 = t3
-3 = t

From there, you gotta plug your value for t into the expression they want.
